Tell that to Quicksilver...
@Suicide Squad Sucks, just you wait
@Suicide Squad Sucks, you can't, because he's dead..... but really
@Suicide Squad Sucks, and Odin, and Frigga.
As much as I enjoy the Marvel movies, they really need to stop doing that. It takes always from the seriousness from what's going on in the movie and you don't feel anything anymore when it happens
@Young Man Logan, Right? I want an emotional rollercoaster!
@Young Man Logan, while I definitely agree with you on a cinematic sense, the whole die and come back to life thing was also a big part of the comics, so I feel like they're just trying to remain true to the source material
@Young Man Logan, never forget. Quicksilver died and stayed dead
@Dex the Lumberjack, says the serial killer who died, but not really.
@big freedom, touché
I don't think loki should be on the list. He's a trickster god, of course he's gonna make it look like he died but not actually die.
@Oujosh29, the Norse conception of gods is vastly different than what I think you're picturing based on your comment. They are not immortal (they need to constantly eat sacred apples to keep from aging) and they can and will die eventually (even if it occurs before Ragnarök) so Loki not really dying twice isnt because he's a god, but because Marvel never lets anyone but Uncle Ben stay dead.
Batman V. Superman: my hope for the DC cinematic universe dies, but it does really.
@spongar141 , ...why? Why do you have to go there?
the whole plot of DoFP was how can we stop everyone from dying. that's why no one really died.
@Dan S Krieger, you can't really use 1 example to justify a whole host of zombie super heroes. In the comic I'm almost certain that a few of them stayed dead somehow anyways
@Half Black Man, yeah I think so. it's a weak concept anyway.
Marvel is seriously afraid to kill off a main character
Xmen movies are not marvel movies...
@Scusii, they weren't made by Marvel's studio, but the characters are Marvel characters.
Avengers: AoU: Quicksilver dies, really
The Amazing Spiderman 2: Gwen Stacy dies, but really
The x-men movies are not marvel property... it's sad but true.
Also, it's been said my Whedon that the films and tv shows are separate from each other, even though they're supposed to cross over. So he's stated that in the Avengers universe he helped set up, Coleson is still dead
@Cruxio , I have never seen this from Whedon but I will not say you are wrong as far as him having said it. However, in most of the marvel tv shows, they reference the movies on numerous occasions so even though they may not cross over they most definitely inhabit the same universe. Regarding Joss Whedon, he later clarified his statement saying he did not have the time in movies to explain coulsen coming back because of all the new character. He did not mean he wasn't alive in the universe
The X-Men films don't really count, and I agree about Loki not counting either. Tricks are sort of his thing. Bucky was obvious for anyone that knew the Winter Soldier storyline, and Nick Fury faking his death is just what he does. It's always a LMD
Seems about right
Ever seen Disney-movies?
It's just like me dead but not really
