I will never understand why these people do this and I always wonder if they actually think they are making any sort of positive change in the world. I swear most Christians are not psychotic radicals like these people
@Tuckerdidit, it's sad. I drive past the protests at planned parenthood, and I get it, but the way they protest makes me want to pull a grand theft auto and mow them all down. Twice.
@Tuckerdidit, it's so unlike the Christians I know it makes me think that these are bad people who just want Christians to look bad
@Tuckerdidit, I wonder if these people know that they may be doing evil in the name of God (this is what "thou shall not take the name of the lord thy God in vain" means and is the one thing that God won't forgive)
@Tuckerdidit, they're nothing more than hateful pieces of shjt who just wanna find something to use as moral justification for being a cunt, without that pesky part of having to think for themselves. If these same people were black, they'd be the same kind who preach that all whites are evil and need to die. Plus, a lot of them are senile old people who have lived a bit longer than nature intended, and hateful instinct has overtaken conscious thought processes
@Fun Facts 101, while I prefer not to comment on the state of another's, I will say that this is not a biblically based form of sharing the message. They angrily protest the sins (as defined in scripture) of others when, ". . . All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." (Romans: I can't recall the chapter and verse). Another verse refers to refraining from pointing out a speck in someone's eye while you have a log in your own. The main point I'm attempting to convey is that, as a Christian, I will not support what is defined as a sin but I will not act cruelly or hatefully to a lgbt person or anyone who openly lives a life of sin (homosexuality, adultry, etc). because God calls us to show love and kindness to others. But that does not mean that we should be supportive of the sin. That can be accomplished without disparaging others. And the Westboro baptist loons have twisted scriptures and abandon the most basic theology. They remove context entirely to push hate.
@Tuckerdidit, "I swear most Christians are not psychotic radicals." "These are bad people who just want Christians to look bad." "They're nothing more than hateful pieces of shjt who just wanna find something to use as a moral justification for being a cunt." Just a few statements that Muslims wish they could say without being sh*t on. (I know, sorry to be *that guy* but I felt like it had to be said)
@Tuckerdidit, it's because among stupid religious beliefs theirs are some of the stupidest only above killing yourself for 72 wives and killing people because they're gay or just don't believe in the same things you do
@Tuckerdidit, unfortunately, its always the most radical of any given group that gets noticed, and therefore the small handful of individuals tend to drag the rest of the group down with them.
I find it funny how butthurt certain crazy Christians (thank goodness it's a small minority) get about homosexuality. Shouldn't gay guys be the ones to be butthurt?
@Orange Sherbert, you almost got a thumbs up, but you had to ruin it.
@Orange Sherbert, No. it's their muscles that hurt; from the AIDS and HIV that is.
@Orange Sherbert, the whole problem is that they're not a small minority.
Edit: by which I mean they're a larger minority, not that they're a majority.
@I Are Lebo, they really aren't a large minority. You can go to most churches and you'll find people generally aren't standing outside or shouting like these people most likely are in this picture. Only takes a short amount of time to do a little research.
@BBraamse, I'm not referring to the psychos who picket gay marriages. They're the extremes, and thankfully those are a minority.
I'm referring to those who think it's any of their business what someone else's sexual preferences or identity is. There are WAY too many of those, as evidenced by the simple fact that gay marriage is STILL illegal in many states despite the Supreme Court ruling.
@I Are Lebo, because Christianity, the way I believe, it is our job on this earth to spread the word in hopes of saving (converting) anyone we can. Homosexuality is very biblically wrong and God has made it very clear He does not approve of it. So some people take it as their job to "save" everyone using unconventional means like making those signs and rioting. These are radical Christian's acting out in they're illusion of superiority. They think they're better because they are not gay, so they parade around high and mighty when in actuality they are just as sinful as the next person, gay or not, they are just ignorant to the fact. Hope this cleared it up some for ya.
@Orange Sherbert, yes. Yes we should.
@Orange Sherbert, As a gay guy, I approve this comment. Take all my up votes
Good man. At least there was a single decent human being in that picture.
Those people with the pride flag are some brave souls.
@GunSupporter, yeah, him and the Matthew Sheppard angels (the people in the white robes helping to block the sh!tbird protesters) are amazing humans.
@Robert Parr, You have to be brave, when you're dying of HIV.😭
If that's westboro baptist church then they legitimately aren't Christians. If I remember right it's a family with legal training that pulls these outrageous stunts to get assaulted and then sue the attacker. It still has cult-like tendencies, but the church thing is more for tax purposes
I like the cop in the back. He's not super excited to be there from his expression.
"Yeah fack bro, it's Adam and Eve not Adam and some dude and they're having sex"
