This is funny. A complete misunderstanding of the history of thanksgiving, but still kinda funny.
@Dyslexic eman resu, I’m British, can you explain thanksgiving? Are you thanking turkeys or Donald trump?
I will never understand white guilt. Everything that people feel guilty about every other race has done in spades aswell. Its really stupid
@BlazingBowman, I think it’s just dumb for people to hold the actions of others over you as if you share responsibility.
I wouldn’t be held responsible for my father’s crimes, so the idea that I share blame for the actions of people hundreds of years ago just because my melanin levels are similar to theirs is laughable.
@I Are Lebo, their argument is that americans have privilege over natives, white got privilege over blacks, etc etc. its an argument sitting on fücking sticks. I don’t agree with the “privilege” argument, but its not entirely baseless.
@BlazingBowman, Yeah. Isn't the first Thanksgiving one of the few triumphs in colonist-native relations?
@I Are Lebo, it's simply Original Sin for those that worship the state rather than a divine power.
@BlazingBowman, but, you see, you were born the wrong color and with the wrong dangly bits, therefore what you understand is wrong and your opinions are invalid. Also, because of this you should be forced to work and provide resources for the people born the right color and with the right dangly bits.
Now, am I a bigot from the 18th century or the 21st century in saying this? It's really uncanny how little difference there is between the two, isn't it?
Bastiat warned of the cycle of retributive plunder, specifically of that surrounding slavery and tariffs in the then young US. It seems the baguette-eater was dead accurate in his predictions.
@I Are Lebo, the past happened it sucked but it means nothing now to those who aren't looking for a reason to be bitter
@Doctor Krieger, what’s your opinion on Ben Shapiro?
I saw a great video of him just tearing apart all of the arguments defending the existence of white privilege, and I sent it to my brother, who is ever increasingly becoming a far left California hipster. He wouldn’t even watch it. We watched one minute and then dismissed it outright.
@I Are Lebo, he's alright, but I have some significant disagreements with him. A lot of it has to do with the fact that he derives his morals from his God.
He's definitely not an "Alt-Right Neo-Nazi". He also doesn't like Trump, which confounds people who don't actually take the time to listen to him and instead just slander him because they were assured that he was evil by the media.
@Doctor Krieger, yeah, I disagree with him quite strongly about issues of religion and abortion. But his logic processes are quite good, he’s eloquent and backs up his arguments nicely.
I hate that it feels necessary to point out nowadays when you agree with someone that it’s not “on everything they say”. I mean, let’s be real here. Is there ANYONE on earth that you agree with 100%? Because I can’t think of a single person I don’t disagree with on SOMEthing.
The fact that the far left labels a Jew a neo Nazi shows they don’t understand what Naziism is.
Ironically, that’s one reason why we celebrate the 4th of July
Unnecessary swearing is unnecessary
british people celebrate thanksgiving
*looks around for other full blooded native Americans*
@GrimMrGosh, do those still exist? I'm 1/16 and that's a higher fraction than I'm used to hearing lol
@CellSword, most Americans have some fraction, but I know at least a dozen who are half or more and 3 that are full blood
@gocol, very cool :)
@CellSword, We exist. Tho most exist either on or around the reservations.
@GrimMrGosh, being from OK and stationed in TX i can be next to a guy in a bar, say my tribe, he say his, and boom. I know where in the state his family's from.
@Cocaine Jedi, Jim?
Ya, sure. That's it.
