If you read the original version of certain fairy tales (i.e Cinderella), you realize how f*cked up in the head storytellers were back then.
@CRS10114, to be honest, I prefer the original brothers grim fairy tales. Way more interesting to read about cinderella's step sister cutting off the heel of her foot than to watch a movie about a girl who does absolutely nothing but be a good person and then a prince comes and saves her. At least in the first story their is some blood in it.
@HarleyQuinnxx, I agree completely. Disney's renditions aren't quite as... entertaining (muwahaha) as the originals.
@CRS10114, original Snow White it was her actual mother and snow was 7
@DVpyro, I'm sorry, what?
@CRS10114, I wasn't the storytellers - it was the whole world. The world was f'd up. Now it's just f'd in the 'A'
@CRS10114, The Grimm Brothers, my friend. The Grimm Brothers.
@CRS10114, as well as sleeping beauty instead prince charming rapes her and she wakes up nine months later with twins
The more you know.
@Violently Commenting, ...the less you feel able to read stories to your children without damning them to a life of mental disorders.
@Violently Commenting, I don't think I wanted to know more
@Kombat Koyote, When I was in kindergarten my teacher read Little Red Riding hood and the wolf ate Red. Then a lumberjack saw and he killed the wolf to save Red.
This is incorrect. The wolf actually feeds her the flesh of her grandmother, and she doesn't know.
There is one version where the wolf eats red and a hunter cuts him open to save her. It is actually very very gory.
That's not a fun fact.
And more over, the wolf and girl take on a more sexual role. The story is really about sexual predators. Her hood is red because it's symbolic of the fact that she had gotten her first period right before the beginning of the story, making her a full woman
In the original Cinderella, one of the ugly step sisters cuts off her toe in hopes of fitting in the glass slipper and the other cuts off her heal. The more you know.
Well this could actually pretty accurate. The Grimm Brothers among others of their wrote the original versions of these fairy tales and were meant to be horror stories. In the original Peter Pan, Peter actually killed the Never Land Children when they grew up. So yes, this could most likely be true (truth one the internet, how chapels this be!).
@TheAlGoreSortOfHipie, "actually *be* pretty accurate." I'M SO SORRY, I COULDN'T RESIST. *Sieg hiels, then runs away crying*
@TheAlGoreSortOfHipie, that's crazy! I didn't know that... I fell my childhood was a lie...
@TheAlGoreSortOfHipie, well as long as we are talking childhoods, the last i checked, steve from blues clues wasn't really dead. That mean anything to ya?
In the real version of Sleeping Beauty, instead of waking her up with a kiss the prince takes advantage of her. If you know what I mean.
@Pick Me Up A Pil Eh, [I have no clue as to what you mean. Please, do tell.]
@CRS10114, well you see.. when a man is physically attracted to a woman and she is in a coma he starts to gigitty her gagatty until he gershlamities all over her.
@Pick Me Up A Pil Eh, You, sir, have officially made my day. Thank you.
@CRS10114, No problem, Any time.
In the original Ariel, she dies and turns into sea foam and Prince Eric gets some random girl who took Ariel's credit for saving him
Actually, in the original version of Red Riding Hood, the wolf was a rapist. English, Junior Year.
Man, kids' books and Disney take out all the fun! And these horror version were used to scare children into going to sleep. What great parents way back when...
Well for the grandma, i dont think this would be a "fun" fact
Why Little Red, What a big friend you have!
In the original Sleeping Beauty she was raped while asleep an had twins while asleep
I saw a grown up version of it it was a play and it was the wolf eating her out.
Fake and gay
@Scary Mike, are you trying to be incognito? I'm watching you.
@The Invisible Man, Daddy is never incognito
OML all my childhood is gone
The original Snow White story, she died like 7 times and the dwarves kept bringing her back to life
My life is a lie o.O
I just like to watch them backwards. Take for example, Cinderella. A story about a Queen who loses everything and becomes a hard working almost servant living with her relatives.
False...in the original, Little Red Riding Hood gets eaten, there's no woodsmen to save her. She is misled by the wolf and is simply eaten.
Imagine the diarrhea from eating her grandmas flesh
This is actually not true. In the original Dutch fable, everyone dies. Wolf kills granny and red and gets killed by the hunter, who also dies. (I forget how. Maybe from wolf injuring him)
WTF fact: Little Red Riding Hood was about rape.
I watched tangled last night and just about cried myself to death.
Well no. I come from the region were this tale is made and the fun fact is wrong!
This was a story about sex, where the wolf represents a penis. What in the world does both if them eating the grandma have to do with sex?
Then the wolf and little red riding hood lived happily ever after with her grandma's inheritance
Vocaloid has taught me things about Disney and Rugrats. And now Little Red.
