A joke most you won't get but I'm telling it anyway.
So there's a cop. One day his department builds a time machine. The sherif gives him a special assignment to go back in time to kill Adolf Hitler as a baby. So he goes. When he comes back to report to the sheriff he says, "hey I couldn't kill baby Hitler, so I killed baby Woodrow Wilson instead."
The sheriff replies, "who's baby Hitler?"
@DHS Crisis Actor, so you're saying the sheriff has a poor memory?
@J Boogie, Rather that Wilson's policies and actions created the environment that caused Hitler to be "Hitler."
@DHS Crisis Actor, is this the hitler paradox?
@DHS Crisis Actor, the first sentence was unnecessary as the joke wasn't that clever.
@DHS Crisis Actor, who is Woodrow Wilson?
@benderama, the American president during ww1, who suggested the league of nations be created. Hitler came to power and by promising justice for the punishments put on Germany after ww1 and a lot of people blame wilson for those extreme punishments. Basically, Hitler was pissed because of what people blame wilson for
@Shentei Zei, but then again it's not entirely his fault seeing as though if America was in the League of Nations in the first place even though they created it, perhaps the punishments towards Germany wouldn't have been as harsh and in doing so there wouldn't have been such a huge amount of unemployment and depression to cause Hitler to seem like a good leader.
@fkingdonn, I completely agree. I just mean that Germany was forced to take blame for the war, and wilson was forced to take blame for the punishments put on Germany. Which I think is pretty dumb considering we only got involved to help the people who actually punished germany
@Shentei Zei, yea I seems kinda dumb as well, me being British I don't know much about what happened much with Wilson but it should probably be the French to have taken the blame since they were the ones who were harsh on the reparations that Germany had to pay and invaded Germany in its weakened state to claim the equivalent of the reparations that they didn't pay for one time round. Whilst on the other hand all the other countries and America weren't harsh on the punishments and seeing as though Wilson came up with the idea of the League of Nations it shouldn't entirely be his fault
@DHS Crisis Actor, but no tho? That's not how it went down...
@Jdrawer, correct. Wilson was an incredibly feeble minded president who's banker-sponsored actions not only the gateway to the rise of Hitler's Third Reich but is the reason this country is trillions of dollars in debt.
@DHS Crisis Actor, whose*
@DHS Crisis Actor, it was less about Wilson, and more about England and Russia taking revenge on the massive amounts of damage done to their countries, citizens, and culture. America was leaning more towards fair gradual repetitions with complete forgiveness (after settling the war crimes and personal debt issues of course) also I don't know names and dates and plans so I can't be entirely 100% accurate. But I knew it at one point
@DHS Crisis Actor, Roosevelt and his "new deal" is why we have deficit spending and people that think the government is here to solve their problems.
@Jdrawer, I'm still confused. How did this police department build a time machine in only one day?
@DHS Crisis Actor, luckily I literally just went over the knowledge needed to get that in history yesterday
I .. I .. I don't know how to react anymore
