@Kirbus, idk, I mean you're offering him a better deal and being witty about it. How much convincing would he need? It's not like you're trying to persuade him to give you the gold.
@Sirocka, true but you’re still trying to convince a greedy chromatic (typically evil) dragon. The roll would have to include not only the initial offer but also convincing it not to kill you as well. I’m not saying it’s impossible but a mod 17 would be pushing plausibility. That being said a bard would have the best chance considering the inherent charisma of the class.
