Nasa vs space X is a glowing example of what can be done without red tape
@Dephenistrator, NASA is a glowing example of what happens when you have politicians that reject the very notion of scientific discovery and still impressive for what they can do with so little. Space X is an example of how badly the same politicians are holding back science now we need a tesla boi to pick up the slack
imagine if they actually gave a damn about science that didn't involve killing other people
@Dephenistrator, but what about duct tape?
@WelI Obviously, isn't that obvious?
@Formless, the thing with NASA is the gov gives them money regardless of progress, and since most R&D projects don't yield profit, private companies aren't willing to sink the research time and money costs. Nasa and other government organizations basically show a new frontier and then the private companies go and explore it by improving greatly on what's there. Usually. Inb4 "private companies invent stuff too!!1!
@Formless, also it shows how lazy we get when we're not obsessed with making Russians look like little bjtches. Cause we thought the moon was made of cheese before the Russians started being interested in it.
To be fair, it’s like being sponsored in a juggling competition, but instructed to have stand on your hands and they’re allowed to build a machine that can auto juggle, and to top it off, you’re scored in how many you can juggle.
SPACE X IS FUNDED BUT GOVERNMENT SUBSIDIES! It’s still the government paying for it.
Amazing example of how the private sector will always be better than the public
Is that elongated muskrat?
