My Buddy gobz made this
That was last week. This week it grossed around $40 million, representing a 67% drop
@Sexy Homunculus, ouch
@Sexy Homunculus, which is almost the same numbers that BvS pulled. Which happened to be a huge disappointment for DC in the end, just as Suicide Squad is and will be.
@Liquid Stuff, Suicide Squad is 136.43 times better than BVS though.
The only discontinuity from the movie and comics that I disliked was the lack of romance between Harley and Deadshot.
Otherwise solid 9/10 (or 8.5/10 conservatively) movie
@Dr Simon Acula, hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehAhahahahahahahaahahahahHahAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAGAGAHAHAVWHGSBND
@Sexy Homunculus, it's just because it was so overhyped
@Dr Simon Acula, I hated that they made it seem like the joker loved her back
@Kakashi Hitake, loved her back???
When batman caught them he DIPPED instead of saving his drowning girlfriend.
He was obsessed, but he didn't love her back.
Further backing up the theory that movie critics are a complete joke, and that you should just decide whether or not you personally enjoyed the movie!
@The One Who Comments, I feel the same way about video games as well.
@The One Who Comments, movie critics have their own rubric to grade movies and usually does not factor in enjoyment so definitely judging a movie after it's seen is correct. I personally loved it, just think that there're too many characters and too little time to get to know all of them.
@The One Who Comments, the ghostbusters reboot has like a 74%
@oh deer, I really enjoyed the movie, but the dialogue was sooooo poor at times
@The One Who Comments, they saw all the glaring flaws in plot edditing and dialogue. the average audience member saw a fun popcorn blockbuster but mostly Harley Quinn's ass.
@The One Who Comments, are you claiming suicide squad was good?
@Taliban Stan, it is also failing to make a profit :-)
@The One Who Comments, you're right I will decide for myself. It was still bad.
@The One Who Comments, Here's the thing though, critics don't care whether you enjoy it or not and enjoying it doesn't make a bad movie good. Good and bad are objective where as enjoyable or not enjoyable is subjective. Critics are deciding on an objective scale how good a movie is, and if you take out all biases towards suicide squad then it really isn't a good movie. Someone mentioned the new ghostbusters but if you take away the name connection then it's still a pretty ok comedy thanks to Kate McKinnon and a few other characters. So yea, Critics are on an objective good or bad scale where as audience members are on a subjective enjoyable or not scale.
@The One Who Comments, find a critic who's views like up with yours on something and use that as a guideline. They're only meant to be a guideline and not a fact of whether or not the movie/game is good
@Mrod27, good and bad are not objective
@Splutra, If his opinion is that the movies good, it doesn't make sense to throw yours at him. Lol
A lot of critics rated it poorly due to "sexism and pro-gun themes", the opposite of which got Ghostbusters it's good ratings not too long ago. Thankfully, the box office numbers are the real metric by which a movie's success is measured.
@A Drunken Bear, maybe success in a financial sense, but definitely not in a quality/viewer approval sense. Transformers makes billions but nobody really likes them, meanwhile there are all the movies like Pacific Rim that everyone thought were quite good but didn't get big box office results because it was a new IP or it wasn't advertised well or there was something bigger out etc. With the advent of cinematic universes like Marvel's, there's also the issue of people simply seeing the movie because they like the franchise, or they like to keep up with continuity. There are a whole lot of factors to consider when it comes to financial success that may have nothing to do with quality is what I'm getting at.
@A Drunken Bear, you go girl !!!!!! Fvck that 👇🏻👇🏻
Should I watch this? I can't decide if I want to
@Nicer Canadian, you want to watch it
@Nicer Canadian, It's okay. It's like a $6 movie for me. It's worth watching to form an opinion
@Nicer Canadian, it's not as bad as rotten tomatoes says but it's not good either. It has enjoyable moments although the rest of the film is a mess
@Nicer Canadian, I thought it was horrible personally. It was poorly written and horribly edited which. Watch the Armoured Media review, it was pretty accurate to what I thought of it.
@Nicer Canadian, yes watch it, just don't go in thinking that it's a movie about joker. It's a movie about the characters it's about, and jokers in it. And if you go in thinking that, you'll love it.
@Sexy Homunculus, you seem like the right man to ask how many times to joker show up in the film?
@thewunterman, not enough
@Nicer Canadian, not worth watching in theaters but if it were free on Netflix or something I'd say watch it
People keep bringing up Deadpool as if beating Deadpool is a huge accomplishment. It barely made more and was PG-13 meaning the potential audience was much larger than an R rated movie! Sorry about the rant had to get that out.
It's worth watching to see Margot Robbie playing Harley Quinn
Dood eye hve alwaze ben a hurly quinn phan
I loved the first half during the introductions. But wasn't as happy with the plot it chose to go with. Still well made, enjoyable to watch.
It was like a super hero Hallmark movie, you knew it was bad but it was fun.
I would rather know the ticket sales by #, rather than $. Bc of inflation and increase in prices...
Dead Shot and Harley Quinn were the best characters IMO. This new joker feels so forced. And I thought the joker was going to be in it more, guess not. It was bad but not as bad as the critics say.
