The funny bit is that he agreed to the interview, thinking he was the victim and Amazon were the bad guys because they wouldn’t let him sell $1 sanitiser for $50 on their platform.
Funny story: the government has since coerced that guy to "donate" all the hand sanitizer.
@AussiePatrick, really hoping they continue pressing him this Coronavirus could finally be the thing that forces the govt to put a a leash and muzzle on pharma
@AussiePatrick, well the authorities confiscated 1/3 of his stock for emergency personnel and he donated the rest but the brothers may still face charges.
@mycatsanahole, but why though? He rightfully bought it, didn't he? Thats not a crime, trying to resell it to make profit its illegal but they stopped him from that(according to comments)
@freakazoid, because others need it more the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the greedy fvcker
@eleven, ok. But being greedy is not illegal. Its immoral. He still can't be charged for being greedy(i don't condone such behavior btw). If thats the case all these corps should go to court then.
@freakazoid, because the state he is from have laws against this sort of thing during a natural disaster
@freakazoid, yeah, I believe some places have laws about hoarding supplies during an emergency. Even more for jacking up the prices and selling them
@freakazoid, they should have let him sell it but only for a small profit like 10% or something
@freakazoid, resource redistribution
@AussiePatrick, if he did that, he wouldn’t have got In trouble as in most cases here in the states, the law says one can’t up the price by more than 10% unless they can prove it cost them more than that 10% to get it. Very similar to gas prices during natural disasters across the country, you only see them go up a fraction of their potential (as we saw with hurricane Katrina and super storm sandy where lots of gas stations got in significant trouble)
They both have very punchable faces.
Martin Shkreli is still worse
@Captain Magma, what does he charge extortionately for
@eleven, HIV medication
@eleven, HIV, like @aang72 said. He raised the price of a single pill from $13.5 to $750
Dude on the left looks like the little brother from Lizzie McGuire
