For months Beary trained, at first with just a large stick but as his skills grew he acquired better equipment. He entered more competitions and tuned his body and mind to become one with his bowstaff. And at just 10 years old (30 in human years) he became the runner-up in the bowstaff world championship. He just bearly fell short to a puma, and shortly after this defeat he fell into deep depression and never had the courage and strength to return to his passion. He now runs a shop in a small rural town in Siberia, and sells videos of his early training years to help compensate for his store's low income.
