Wow that sounds like a personal problem../
@megamanx181x, you should probably see if someone will come in
@Guy Fawkes, Nahh my bed needs my attention right now
@megamanx181x, so does that shady website you keep forgetting to visit ;)
Who literally just puts their manager down as "Manager" tho? Put something creative like "the literal devil" or anything else ya know
@A Math Dealer, My direct boss is just "Boss Man" and his boss is "Big Boss Man". Boss Man's contact photo is Tallahassee from Zombieland because I actually like him. Big Boss Man's is the "that'd be great" meme guy because he's a dick.
@DiamondBear, MY TWINKIEEEEEEES
@A Math Dealer, my boss where I worked for 5 years was super dope. We still keep in touch like old friends sometimes. And he always gave me days off when I asked for them cuz I’d always do all my work ahead of time.
@A Math Dealer, I put mine down as "Do Not Answer".
Probably to busy charging his phone to come in
Go to work. For f sakes. Who else will buy that cheap Chinese sh1t if you don’t adopt late stage capitalism
@OGMsDosDoomGuy, At least capitalism can get to the late stages.
@OGMsDosDoomGuy, sorry, I was given the day off and made plans like doctors appointments etc. Businesses need to get past this atrocious mentality of minimal staffing. If you need 400 units done in a day and each person does 50 then you have 5-6 people not 4 or god forbid 3. You plan for things like call offs and planned time off accordingly. That way if things go wonky you already have a back up plan in place. Tornado emergency plan? Check. Proper staffing? Oh hell no. Plus if you are over staffed then you can kick out incompetent associates and hire people actually willing to work. But no, that makes to much damn sense.
@The Xenocide, but...but...our profit margin 😢
@The Xenocide, I worked 1 corporate job out of high school bc the money was great but oh man there was so much corny b.s. to put up with it makes me cringe. But the thing about being short staffed always irked me. No matter what this place stayed open and even said that it never shuts down even for bad weather. If a hurricane was coming through they specified through emails they were staying open and expected employees to show up. One time flooding got so bad you had to wade through water to get to the office and people were coming in soaking wet but still hurrying off to their job so they wouldn't be late. That was the line for me. I turned around and walked back out and went home for a hot shower
@Scrabby, and that’s what far too many companies think about exclusively
@addibruh, good on you! An old job I had could never figure out why the turnover rate was so high. After a change in HR leadership things went to complete shjt and they failed to follow up on so many employee complaints. Maybe not let management treat people like garbage and listen to the lower levels guys?
@The Xenocide, yet it's a catch 22, especially for retail. Being short staffed causes customers to become unhappy which in turn causes them to either not shop there again or tell their friends how sh!tty it was so the company loses even more money. There's also an issue of when people are at the self checkout machines and there's no associate over there people will walk away without paying. Now if the company would've spent the extra 40 bucks to have someone watch and make sure someone was over there, $80 worth of groceries wouldn't be consistantly stolen.
Alright rant over. Have a great day everyone!
Dang I wonder what they did
