Am I the only one who absolutely despises anything to do with cereal killers? I just don't get why people love to watch that kind of thing
@Xelric, it is such a rush to just stab a bowl of Cheerios though!
@Xelric, if you actually meant serial* its a bio psychosocial thing that people do. Essentially its confirmation "well at least im not as crazy as ted bundy here" or people are entertained by murder because of its taboo nature. If you meant cereal ask todd howard who stole your baby
@Xelric, I struggle watching those movies/shows because it terrifies me. But I do like to read about serial killers mostly because I want to understand why they're so screwed up. Were they just born not right in the head, or was there some sort of traumatic event that happened when they were young to make them the way they are.
@Xelric, so I watch these things all the time. I think it's good if people watch these because it isnt aggrandizing these people but demonizing because we can all objectively say that they're evil, evil people. Not watching it doesnt make these people go away and who knows, maybe someone watches it and sees certain characteristics in someone they know and they are able to get help before they do anything. I'm fascinated to see what motives might have drawn a person to commit such heinous acts and see how their minds work because they're not like everyone else. In fact, a lot of serial killers are very very smart. That's just my piece anyway
@Xelric, yeah, it just makes me super depressed that people like that exist and things that terrible happen. So i avoid that stuff like the plague.
@Ghoaxst, i find the mind of the criminally insane fascinating. Like how did they become like that and was it environmental or was it biological - or both?
To see inside the mind of charles masnson - a truly insane man - would be fascinating
@PunnyBaker, its all very interesting in many ways. But most importantly its educational stuff
"Women are into highly aggressive chads." - Incels
@Hoover CAT, ridiculous as incels may be, that doesnt explain why there are serial killer fandoms on Tumblr. Or why some women send some love notes to their prison
People are weird...
@ptitty1231, I think it’s the fantasy of thinking that they will be the one to ‘fix’ their murderous crush. Or if not complete fix, they’ll simply ‘help’ in some way.
@Drunk Pantless Uncle, my favorite!
Funny that it’s a pic of Laura Palmer
@TheAgent, yay someone else noticed! What year is it???
There's an article online where a woman complained about how "white male serial killers" are glamorized in media.
Yeah, because that sort of thing NEVER happened before the Netflix movie, or social media. Women NEVER obsessed about serial killers/rapists/kidnappers before that stuff. 😑
@Suicide Squad Sucks, it's not their fault that the majority of serial killers are white.
@CaseCat, yeah, you're right! People of color need to start pulling their weight and racking up the big numbers, too! Get out there, find a type, and help diversify the Serial Killers Club!
Ted Bundy couldn’t have been a killer, he’s too handsome!’
@megamanx181x, or the other cult members saying “he can’t be a killer, he’s mormon”
This is racist and I'm offended.
Even though it's 100% true.
