If the age is on the clock, they're old enough for
Some parental guidance because they should not be in a relationship yet
@Felix the Bear, we'll if they have a great ass then yknow
@Felix the Bear, uh, standard or military?
Love is not always sexual. That could be like a father / daughter relationship
@Candy Unicorn, one would hope
@Candy Unicorn, you are correct, the ages line up so that this could be outlining a father-daughter incestuous relationship
@Candy Unicorn, I'm glad it's reassuring us also the fathers can love suns and mothers can love daughters.
@Candy Unicorn, I hope it is because there are people that believe pedophilia is allowed into the lgbt community but it really isn't although they insist everytime that it is.
@Canadactyl, the argument is based on the trans movement. Someone claims they are a boy even though biologically they are a girl and want legal rights to be treated as such. Well if someone claims they are 18 even though biologically they are 13 then why would this be treated any differently? Both are the person identifying as something they genetically are not. So why is age more sacred than gender? Not trying to argue for it. Just genuinely curious what people's thoughts are as that is the current argument.
@Totrollornottotroll, age relates to the development of one's own mind, as people grow from being a child they develop their reasoning and ability to recognize unhealthy situations. A child can be more easily persuaded and taken advantage due to their underdeveloped cognition. They may have a harder time recognizing malicious intent. I think one's perception of one's own gender is mostly a self image thing: Who are you? Who do you want to be? How do you want others to perceive you? Gender identity does seem to correlate strongly with biological sex, maybe this correlation is natural, maybe it is institutional. It's probably some amounts of each but I don't really know, as we can't grow people in a white room. The point is, gender identity has no effect on intelligence, age does.
@ZweihanderNLeaveHer, I should note I have no sources for any of this, pure philosophy I suppose. Read with skepticism.
@Totrollornottotroll, ah okay my bad, it just concerns me when I see stuff related to possible pedophilia because so many people think we allow it in the lgbt community and we really don't. But thank you for clearing up what it meant, I completely forgot about that and that was crucial to understanding :)
@Totrollornottotroll, oh and I wasn't trying to imply in my reply to you that you were for it in the first place, I'm sorry, I was referring my to my fears of the picture and not of what you said
@stripper cop , well, that's what I was thinking. *sweats profusely*
@ZweihanderNLeaveHer, as far as I've read, almost all of medical academia is strongly opposed to gender reassignment. It has huge downsides and isn't an effective medical treatment. The suicide rate for presurgery transgender people is higher than normal, and in the long term post-surgery transgender people don't have significantly reduced suicide rates. In addition a lot of things like puberty blockers are pushed as "harmless" when they are no less life altering than surgery itself. Overall transgender people have a mental and not physical problem and it's a shame that mental health is so stigmatized that saying that sounds like an insult.
@ZweihanderNLeaveHer, i mean by that logic though, people couldnt "choose their gender" before the age at which it would be socially acceptable for them to be having sex.
@Caine, I kind of agree with that, I think it is sad to have a child make such a big decision that will impact the rest of their life. However, sex changes are much easier to pull off if you start before or during the early phases of puberty, so their bodies develop in a way that they desire. It's a trade off between waiting to decide, and quality of outcome. So sadly younger people who probably shouldn't be making such impactful decisions are forced to do so. If technology were advanced enough to allow people to perfectly change gender at a later age, I would be in favor of making trans people wait until they are of the age of consent before making the decision.
@ZweihanderNLeaveHer, i would also agree my friend.
Not sure if I should upvote this because the spongebob fish reaction made me laugh or to downvote since I believe in traditional marriage (no im not a bigot, dont @ me either but you have the right to believe what you want while i do as well) *receives massive downvotes, claims of bigotry*
*john cena* ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT
This is why I ditched the left
Anyone CAN be together. Whether it's a good idea or not is the issue. Since a heck of a lot of marriages fail, maybe we shouldn't shut the discussion down on how to do it right.
This is pretty obviously photoshopped. Look at the 10, entirely different fonts.
LGBT AND FINALLY P!
@Professor Xavier, *implying that homosexuality is between an adult who manipulated the other into the relationship, and that the manipulated party can't consent.
Guys guys...I'm pretty sure the age is in Celsius so it's fine
Sex is sex.
This is what some conservatives are afraid of when it comes to the slippery slope argument. I don't agree with the argument but this kind of stuff makes me sick.
Every time I see this it has diferentes ages, first time it was 22 and 16, what's next? 8 and 45? Or will we jump to 6 and 52?
@Don Taco, Ask Milo
@UmActually, tfw you're a shjtlib that's complains about people taking things out of context and then you take something out of context.
Oh wait. You're a shjtlib. Hypocrisy is implied.
@RustyFapwagon, Milo literally said sexual relationships with men over 30 are beneficial to 12-15 year old boys and it teaches them positive messages about how they are supposed to be treated by sexual partners
@UmActually, false. He literally said that serial relationship wouldn't be pedophilia. He apologized for the context it was in and said that he worded it poorly. He also said that he was a survivor of child abuse and thought it was repulsive.
He was initially talking about men mentoring boys in the interview. The subject of sexual relationships was brought up and he very poorly explained that it wasn't pedophilia by definition if the individual was out of the pre-pubescent (while that by definition is correct, he wasn't advocating it, he spoke poorly which he admitted) That made him sound like he was advocating it.
He's openly bashed on pedophilia before. I don't believe for a second that's what he meant especially because of the context he later gave.
@RustyFapwagon, Did you see the full interview? He said it was a positive experience for him, refused to talk about what he observed of American statesmen participating in pedophilic sex parties he has been to, said there is little to no evidence of psychological damage in young boys who are groomed and molested, go see the full video, or at least a larger part of it, because he keeps running his mouth and it actually gets worse, because he keeps digging a deeper hole.
@UmActually, I've seen clips and I've seen what he wrote afterward explaining himself. I'm going to watch the full interview.
I know that he's said that he was with older men when he was in highschool and while it's illegal, no one would have said shjt if he'd been with older women. I chalk that up to homophobia.
@Don Taco, I've only seen it with these numbers, and I've seen it quite a few times.
*shrugs* love is loce.
@Vault Tec, *love
