I actually really liked Doom. I loved the fps sequence. Is that an unpopular opinion?
@Ashoka02Tano, I thought it was a pretty cool movie too! I didn't know there was a lot of hate towards it
@Ashoka02Tano, The FPS sequence was the best part of the movie. The only problem it had was that the whole movie wasn't FPS. But then again, it's a give and take. If they did it all in FPS, some people might get nauseous having that perspective for an hour and some minutes, but it would look kinda dumb if it constantly switched perspectives. I think what they did was fine, giving it an homage to the game while ending it with a bang.
@Ashoka02Tano, no I enjoyed it too, its a fun film, just like doom...
@Lord Booty The Third, you guys should watch "hardcore henry"
Surprisingly good, but very corny.
@ThePandaPool , I expected it to be horrible, but I was pleasantly surprised by hardcore henry for sure
@Ashoka02Tano, I enjoyed it, too, but I wasn’t a hardcore Doom fan. My friend, with whom I watched the movie, was, and hated the film. He recognized that it was a unique take, but just found it to be disappointing, as a fan. Most importantly, the Doom movie was what sparked my torrid man crush on Karl Urban.
@Swolekage, I think that all video game movies inherently get hate. Like I thought Warcraft was really good. Like people were complaining that they couldn't follow the story or the characters unless you played the game. I've never touched wow and I didn't get lost at all. I think the critics were just morons. The cg was really cool if you ask me and fights wefe pretty dope. I haven't seen tomb raider yet but I've heard it wasn't that bad either despite critics being dinguses. Honestly don't trust critics especially rotten tomatoes. Think about it, these people either like it or don't. I enjoyed iron Man but I wouldn't give it as great a review as a masterpeece like shrek but by rotten tomatoes logic they're both equal. Same goes for a movie like Pacific rim two. Yeah it was bad but not as bad as shark tails but the two would get the same rating under rotten tomatoes. 2 o'clock rant about how much I hate critics is over. (Btw moisture meter by critikal on YouTube is the most reliable)
@Ashoka02Tano, it wasn't a bad movie, it just wasn't a DOOM movie. DOOM is always about a portal to Hell, not a virus.
@Ashoka02Tano, dont worry if it is unpopular. Like what you like.
@Cynic8387, Thank you! It was a DOOM twist on Resident Evil, and that's what i hated. The new DOOM game though? 10/10
@Ashoka02Tano, nah, I liked it. And the first time I played Doom was with cd\doom doom.exe OMG WADS!
@Ashoka02Tano, most unpopular opinion to date: I liked justice league. It was fun.
YAY! My first upload!
@Pics Troll, congrats! -]
Rotten Tomatoes is pretty rotten itself at this point anyways. I enjoyed almost every movie they rate badly just because it wasn't a blockbuster film. I don't even bother looking up movie reviews anymore.
Mmmm doom ain’t happy
I actually enjoyed the Doom movie. It wasn’t perfect but it was enjoyable and fun
Down to 50%
Wait there was a DOOM movie?...
In all honesty it was a silly movie, but it sure was entertaining. If nothing else it's worth watching just to see Jeffrey Dean Morgan's scenes
It bothers me that the original resident evil movie and the first silent Hill didn't to well. I loved them both.
I thought hitman was great movie.. didn’t realize people hated it so much
Was rampage a video game? Or am I just reading this wrong and there was a doom movie?!
@Stuffed158, Rampage was a game for the NES
Rampage is a video game movie? Never heard of it.
I legitimately liked the Doom movie with how cheesy it was, it was like playing the game. The new Doom game on the other hand is a cinematic masterpiece
Has anyone actually seen Rampage yet? I thought it looked awful. Can anyone convince me otherwise?
Resident Evil is based on a game, didn't those movies do well?
I didn’t know rampage was based on a video game
@Jolee Bindo, old arcade game where you controlled a monster and tried to take down buildings and survive army strikes.
Kinda looked like the wreck-it-ralph game.
@Jolee Bindo, it was a fun one, at least in 5-7 yr old Matt’s memory
