I really enjoyed this movie probably because I didn't read the book but the aspects in it today made it really nice and it reminded me how I escaped my reality of the hollow family I have and the near dead social life I have too but that was before anyway I have a gf now and still play video games so I got lucky
The feels from the iron giant
Wait the swordfish from cowboy bebop is in there too?
BATTLETOADS IN THE FINAL FIGHT 100/100
Haven't seen this yet. Heard mixed opinions on it. Thoughts?
@SimonPetrikov, was decent for how much fanservice there was
@SimonPetrikov, stand alone, its good, compared to the book its absolute trash, its more of an 'inspired by' movie then following source material.
@SimonPetrikov, I work at my local cinema, the general view is if you haven't read the book you will like it, if you have read the book it is a very different story to what you expect so it's how much you value your expectations.
@SimonPetrikov, haven’t read the book or anything but I was just hoping it wasn’t as cringy as it looked or that it’s not some kind of anti video game message hidden in
@ZeroG1422, my friend said to go in seeing it as a tribute to the book not based on the book. But I feel like that's how it goes with every book turned movie
@SimonPetrikov, I wasn't a fan of the book at all. It was mostly lists of pop culture, and it was a challenge to get through.
I was very happily surprised by the movie, as I felt that it kept the heart and soul of the book, while changing things to enable to flow better (I was never bored during the novie).
I highly recommend the movie, especially if your a fan of... well almost anything
@add eggs then stir, I honestly wasn't interested until I heard Spielberg was involved. I like his style, but the amount of references kind of felt ridiculous just watching the trailers.
@SimonPetrikov, really didn't like the movie, and I haven't read the book.
@SimonPetrikov, having read the book I would still recommend watching the movie. While it's another case of the book being better than the movie it was still a decent adaptation and a great film on its own. If anything I'd recommend watching the movie and then reading the book to see how different it all plays out
What about That's So Suite Life of Hannah Montana?
