I have to tell myself "I promise I will come back next play through and not kill you" just to make the guilt go away. And ofc on the next play through I make the same call and the same promise.
@VibratingButtChomper, i actually did a "pacifist" playthrough once. (Only killed those who i deemed deserved it, or was forced to. Plus creatures) And i gotta say, there are a lot of people who deserve it.

Innacurate, i was a ruthless motherfvcker. I killed the cows for fun.

I just went around slaughtering cities and would randomly be rewarded with shiny swords.
Hell if they saw arrow to the knee or just breath in my direction I'll kill them anywayd
