Edgy humor aside, she represented America at the olympics, so when Anne Coulter calls her a Jihadi Barbie, she really makes it hard to say she isn’t the least bit prejudiced, because she openly takes issue with it solely because the woman the doll is based on is Muslim.
@UmActually, sorry, but Ann Coulter can never surprise me with this shjt anymore.
@Smo Queed, she sucks
@UmActually, she's either a straight up cunt, or just exploits the edgelord cunts who cheer her for money. Her type's philosophy is basically: "you're from a different tribe? That means you're my enemy and your individual actions mean nothing". It's the same mentality the left has been criticized for. Everyone's a cunt
@Kangaroo Jacked, oh definitely, I won’t discount the incredible likelihood that she is actually a racist/xenophobe, but I will say that her racist, anti-Islam posts are always attached to a current event.
@Kangaroo Jacked, like, people like Laura Loomer will be in every day situations and be racist, Anne Coulter does it to get clicks.
@UmActually, I've joked that all her material is plagiarized from 4chan. The paid internet troll. The blonde mummy. The anorexic giraffe.
@Kangaroo Jacked, it would not surprise me if she browsed 4Chan on a daily basis to see what they’re angry about.
@Kangaroo Jacked, which would add to my personal belief that America is becoming more and more like the satirical, hyperbolic America in The Boondocks.
Are we just ignoring the word ‘shero’ then? Did someone get so caught up in their determination to create a ‘female’ version of every ‘male’ word that they completely forgot that the word ‘heroine’ already exists?!?
They sell one without legs so it's easier to bury her when a bunch of Kens want to get together and stone her for being raped by her dad.
@loose357, they should make a redneck ken doll that comes with a pump action shotgun, crushed up beer cans, and a Barbie that looks fine at first but her face paint rubs off and reveals a black and blue eye underneath
@liberachi , I would buy both of these things.
Question for women: Would you actually want a Barbie of you sold to the general public? Keep in mind your memories of what you and your siblings did to them as children.
tHe hiJaB is FrEeinG
@Fix Your Grammar, most women’s choices today are the oppressive eastern philosophy of the hijab or the oppressive western philosophy of the booty shorts
Would you like to burn or drown?
@liberachi , or...wear jeans?
@Fix Your Grammar,
The point .
You’re head 🌝
@Fix Your Grammar, the point is if Americans want to point out the flaws in a culture they have no direct control over, they better make sure that the culture they do have control over doesn’t have any similar problems Or they just become more hypocritical strawmen
@liberachi , okay yeah but like you’re required by law / social order to wear the hijab under sharia law...punishable by beatings or death...
@Fix Your Grammar, But this woman chose to... because she’s from America. So your point is not related to the image
@UmActually, but...I don’t understand what’s being argued here. I was making fun of people who think sharia law is a good thing. The hijab is a religious choice for some; but for almost everyone else who wears it it is oppression.
@liberachi , That's not what a strawman is. A strawman is when someone deliberately misrepresents an opposing argument in an effort to easily argue against it.
@Fix Your Grammar, I think the problem is is that it came off as just an Islamaphobic comment, sharia, as an institution of government, Is oppressive, but when it is a personal choice made by someone, it isn’t oppressive. I think it largely depends on where you live, because sharia, when not instated by the government, is sort of like the 10 Commandments, where enforcing some of the laws would be oppressive, but is really just a religious framework for followers to go by.
@UmActually, personally I don’t follow any established religion, nor do I trust in the concept of a higher power. I think religion is a great thing for people. It gives people motivation and meaning. But personally, PERSONALLY, I think most established religions, especially islam, fall into a cycle of being incredibly backwards, regressive, and oppressive. I’m a conservative libertarian. I want people to do whatever they want, not be punished by death for being raped.
@Fix Your Grammar, of course! I don’t believe in any religion at all, and I am opposed to theocracy. However, just because theocrats are horribly oppressive, there are logical, moderate and intelligent people that practice that religion. In fact, I would say that every religion is primarily comprised of logical human beings. The problem with any religious system is when it takes control of the populace.
@Weird Porn Stash, I know. sorry. I forgot the word I was looking for.
Yea they kinda walked right into that one
I'd like to believe muslims wear a hijab as a tradition or fashion statement, that way I can respect the Islamic religion just like the others. But then I remember you get stoned to death if you don't wear it. That you get killed if you don't wear your garments covering 95% of your body. I don't hate Islam for being a religion nor its people, but I hate what it makes them do.
@Uranusisbig, see the documentary on Netflix “Jesus camp”. All religions make people do messed up things. No one religion is any worse than the other. They are all pretty despicable.
@liberachi , I know they have been despicable. They HAVE been, and they had to change, which they have. Christians, Jews, etc aren't nearly as bad as they were before. I just hope for the same change to occur in Islam so that I can start respecting it.
@Uranusisbig, all abrahamic religions are equally dangerous in different ways
She has a very pronounced chin.
