Good. Don't try to change people. If you do, then you don't love them as much as you thought
@Inquisitor Kryptman, So encouraging a loved one to not participate as much in unhealthy habits is a bad thing?
Granted, drawing a lot isn't necessarily a terrible thing, but I'm just gonna play devil's advocate.
@DandyZombie35, you have a point. I should have gone into a bit more detail.
@Inquisitor Kryptman, I'm just messing with you man. I know what point you were trying to make.
Why on earth would you date a creative person and tell them not to do their creative thing?
Weeee, please tell me this isn't based on experience. People... people can't be that dumb...
@Sambob, I hope it’s not from experience, either. When I was 17, I picked up a guitar and taught myself to play a song that I also sang to. My ex told me it was awful and I didn’t have the confidence to tell him to shove it. I haven’t played since. People are that dumb, at least some of them.
@Sambob, Yes they are.
@Kamitha That's lame as hell. However, better for you since they were an ahole anyways.
@Kamitha, I'm sorry to hear that bud.
@Sambob, most of my comics are based on things that have happened. I typically exaggerate however, like the fiery carnage in Captain Catastrophe. This comic, however, is 100% what happened. Because of people like him, I am much more weary of dating. Hard to trust someone when their intentions and feelings aren't made clear from the get go. Why be supportive of who I am in the beginning, if you plan to attempt to change me later? Date someone because you like them, not to change them into what you want.
@Kamitha, My boyfriend (now ex) of three years didn't have my same sense of humor. And didn't take much interest in my art which was fine. But then I showed him these bird drawings I made with hyperreal human muscle arms and he called them "awful and stupid as fvck". After we broke up I dropped my science degree and got back into art, hardcore. Don't let people like that bring you down. Instead, take that negative word and use it as spiteful fuel to continue to practice. I hope you get back into guitar. You owe it to yourself.
@Sambob, Also the logic he used is also accurate to true life. To him, drawing was the root of all my problems. But in reality drawing is what keeps all of my problems at bay, it is the best medicine I have.
@Weeee, sounds like a manipulative tosspot. Dodged a bullet.
@Weeee, What a jerk. The last girl I dated was really into drawing (wasn't her main focus, but it was her favorite pastime hobby) and I always gave interest into what she made along with a little critique, though she did make some really good scenes and portraits. Whenever she was down and thought she wasn't that good of an artist I would challenge her to some drawing contests. I figured that pitting her against my not-nearly-as-deft drawing skills would give her at least some confidence in her abilities.
@Weeee, I really love your comics and the art style. I'd love to do a web comic series but I never feel confident enough in my artwork. Such is life though. 🙄 Anyway, keep up the good work and good luck with your art degree!
@Sambob, people surprise me daily with how dumb they are.
*sketches middle finger*
Here ya go.
Another day, another Weeee
@NinnyHammer, Aww but it's sad now
Replace drawing with drinking and that’s me in a nutshell.
I'll date you weeee
My fiance knows that I'm an otaku fujoshi that also likes sexy anime girls... That man loves me!
Im curious how pretty the artist is
But...they are on date three.
@x2 6x 9 lol, the first one wasn’t a date, they were somewhere else (probably school, work, or strangers in a cafe or something) and he said they should go get ice cream or something sometime.
Good, you're too cute to be with a douchy normie.
