And all those articles are prob written by women....
@Gerbosou, the people most critical of women are other women
@Siska the Khajiit, i have noticed this and told my wife that guys focus on what they like. She expressed doubts
@Dephenistrator, a common comment I’ll hear is “wow she’s got big tits... but sadly they are ‘fat tits.’” So although it’s an insult, it was pointed out she had impressive knockers before her weight was pointed out
@Siska the Khajiit, sexual compliments is probably one of those things that will forever remain a miscommunication between the genders
@Siska the Khajiit, women never dress to impress men, they dress to make other women jealous
If you are reading this your only hurting yourself don’t fall into the idiot trap, seriously stay away from this stupid sh1t
Dude I love this community, I love how we can look at a picture that’s very clearly indicative of a problem (however small) in society and come up with multiple different reasons why it doesn’t matter and no one should care. So cool. I love it. I love how constant it is. I love how when the funny pics community sees a post that’s even a little bit critical of a mainstream facet of American culture they flip the hell out and bend over backwards trying to say the op is the real problem.
It’s women’s own fault for reading it.
It was probably written by another woman which somehow makes it not a problem.
I know this is going to get #downvotedtooblivion but I don’t care. If you have to do mental gymnastics to justify an aspect of your culture, then it’s pobabaly a crappy part of your culture and you should be a supporter of changing it.
If you just don’t care about society or it’s issues then just say so, don’t make up “holier than tho” reasons for why it’s cool to not care.
@liberachi , oh lord. Mental gymnastics? Dude it’s not that complicated. It’s all self imposed. Women are the ones reading those magazines and creating the problem of their own self consciousness. Guys aren’t picking them up like “oh wow look at these whales on the cover” and throwing a few magazines on the checkout counter.
And I say it’s bs that “society conditions women to feel this pressure”. Both sexes feel the same pressure for looks, for every article about some unattractive woman there’s another one right next to it about some guy being unattractive or being “the ideal man”. It’s all bullshít and yet there are plenty of women who don’t give a flying f*ck about any of that. Why is it so damn hard for someone to just ignore something they don’t like?
@Richard Cypher, your absolutely right. I worked retail and had to sell these for years and i have only seen 3 or 4 guys buy then and they had to make a big deal about how it was for their wife. Wether or not they are lying, I've see women buy them all time and men almost never. These magazines target market are clearly women.
