Wouldn't it be 299 since that one guy left to tell the story and assemble the army?
@mpfnascimento19, NERD! Lol jk yes technically it would but "299" wouldn't be as catchy for a title
@mpfnascimento19, no it was Leonidas+300=301 so if that guy left is was Leonidas+299=300
@Death By Papercut, the movie isn't called "Leonidas + 300", he could've used an approximation when he said the 300 men before him were his bodyguards... Either way, we're all arguing semantics
@mpfnascimento19, there were around 7000 Greek Soldiers at the battle of Thermopylae, of which 300 were Spartan. When the Greeks were flanked by the Persians, Leonidas commanded a rear guard of 1500 soldiers to allow the rest of the Greek forces to retreat.
@Sexy Alpaca, shut up
@mpfnascimento19, actually no, leonidas took 300 "personal bodyguards", one lived and returned home, so 299 bodyguards and Leonidas make 300!
...I'm too proud of this answer..
And in the morning...
I'm making waffles!
"Tonight we dine in... Dennys!"
