I highly recommend this show to anyone wondering whether to watch it or not.
I'm willing to accept your gender is male, female or both or neither. And I am more than willing to call you any of those you prefer however don't freak out on me if I say hey dude or use a term you don't associate with. You can correct me and I will use the term you prefer but if you freak and and act like I'm a terrible person for not knowing you don't consider yourself a gender associated with your sex. If you tell me in the same manner you would tell me your name we will get along fine if you freak out and scream I will just stare at you and wait for you to leave the conversation and you won't have to worry about me using the wrong gender again as I promise I won't bother speaking to you again.
@George Feeny, I'll have to steal this, thanks.
@Jdrawer, no problem.
@George Feeny, that and associate yourself as a gender that is either physically codes for in the genome or one that we have actual evidence of exists (ie. The four George Feeny said, not butter toast)
@The Megaton Bomb, yeah I'm sorry but both and neither are not genders. True there are medical conditions where chromosome mix up occurs, but that's an anomaly and the rule should not be determined by the exception.
@HammerOfHerertics, actually yea they are. Even if you wanted to go just biologically there are people born with both male and female sex organs. In those cases biologically you are both genders or can consider yourself neither. But gender does differ from sex as it seems to convey more what gender roles, if any, you conform to. I'm a guy and that's all I count myself as but still you can't argue that genetically and socially both/neither is a valid option.
@George Feeny, I'm married to a transgender woman (M to F) and we both feel exactly the same way. People honestly don't know, so don't get all psychotic and indignant on them. Most people are cool once they understand and they will respect that persons preferences. Also, don't freak out when when they accidentally mix up the pronouns. Chill.
@George Feeny, I liked what you said but I have to say that if you are the one that started the conversation in the first place, then you should probably be the one who walks away. Also, if they freaked out, it would have been better to talk to and explain to them that it was a simple mistake and that you are a very tolerant person. If they don't listen, then kick them to the curb. To be honest though, the only time that transgendered people really start getting mad is on the internet and at a few protests and that's only an extremely small percentage of them. I wish you were this tolerant to this person that you were arguing with last night though, because you seemed to be getting real mad.
@Tentacle Monster, I tolerate people unless they are people who think that they should play the devils advocate or something at every turn and just annoy everyone. Those are people I can't stand as they don't understand that nobody wants to hear them just arguing to be argumentative. I mean say what you want but nobody ever invites the person who Is always being purposefully obtuse and argumentative to any social events. Thats a very different thing than not accepting someone's gender or sexual orientation. People don't choose those things that's who they are but people can chose to be argumentative so I don't tolerate that. See my stance, it's not ok in my book to dislike people for the things like race, sex, gender, religion, etc but it is ok to dislike people for being super annoying that's the only reason to really dislike someone.
@Tentacle Monster, I mean long story short disliking someone for their personality is not intolerance it's human nature.
@George Feeny, All I was saying is that if you talked to this person and help him realize that he is being irrantional, then you could help him be a more likeable person. I mean this in the most respectful way that I can say it, but you technically are being argumentative being tolerant of transgendered people Don't get me wrong, I am tolerant of them as well. If you support pretty much anything, then there are going to be arguments against what you are saying. Again I mean no offense, I'm just pointing this out.
@Tentacle Monster, oh yea I agree totally with you. I was referring to the person from last night who was being argumentative just to be argumentative the bunny person lol.
@George Feeny, The only reason I brought it up is because you normally seem like a rational person, especially when you make comments like the one above. Then you talk to the person last night like you did. It just seemed unnecessary. Then on that same picture you talk to Cpzombie (a person to to argue just to argue) with respect. I just hate it when good people are mean when they don't need to be.
@Tentacle Monster, fair enough. I dislike annoying people and do tend to try and end an argument with one sever comment or insult when I start to get annoyed. I will admit it's not my best quality.
@George Feeny, I'm really sorry that I bothered you with this, it's just I want this community to go back to the way is was, where everyone is kind and there are few arguments. It would be nice if someone like you were to join us. Alright, that's it, that's the last time I will bother you with this tonight.
@George Feeny, bottom line people, don't be jerks to each other.
@Tentacle Monster, here's the thing. If I use the word dude to refer to somebody. And They get pissed off about it. Rather than explaining to me calmly that they would like to be referred to by something else. I'm probably going to say dude a whole lot more for them being an ass. I always practice tolerance. But if you want me to tolerate an asshole that won't show that same tolerance to somebody who made a simple mistake that was not made out of malice. Then you are mistaken. If you want respect you have to show respect. Being an ass to people around you for making a mistake is no way to win them over. Through the years I've gotten to the point where I treat people the way they treat me. I'll be nice at first to try to lighten the mood if someone is mean. But after so long they get what they give. Now don't get me wrong I'm not an ass to people. In fact I'm really friendly with everybody. Its just some people are just offline trolls.
@Tentacle Monster, as the saying goes. If one person you know treats you like an ass. It's probably them. If everyone does, it's probably you.
@Seohn, There are some people who are full on crazy, but then there are a few that don't even realize it due to the fact that they are oblivious. If you try talk to them, then you can not only make them a more likeable person, but also make a more friendly society. You don't have to, it's just a suggestion I have for dealing with people.
@George Feeny, this 🙌🏻
How many genders has tumblr made up now?
@Blaiseingfire, over 9000!
@Blaiseingfire, 3 by my count
@Blaiseingfire, more than your comment has upvotes

@Sourwolf, *as a toaster*
Man, nothing better than making up genders. I remember being little and just making up the best genders. Most kids had imaginary friends, but not me; I had imaginary genders.
@Jonnasty, at least you're not as bad as math. They got imaginary numbers.
I sexually identify as an Apache attack helicopter.
@Greek Mythologist, you have machine guns and missiles?
Humans exhibit sexual dimorphism, meaning there are two distinct sexes. Genders are based upon these two sexes, thus meaning there are two genders. You cannot pick your sex or gender, but you also do not have to act the way these things define you (assuming society allows free will). In the case of the unfortunate genetic mixup or mutation, things get fuzzy, but as @HammerOfHeretics said, the rule should not be determined by the exception.
In all honesty, I don't give a shjt what you are or what you identify as unless I'm in an intimate relationship with you, because otherwise, it doesn't really fvcking matter.
Aren't the gems on this show genderless?
@Weiss, yes, but they use feminine pronouns
@SqurtieMan, oh ok! I haven't watched the show yet, but it looks pretty good
@Weiss, WHY WEISS WHYYYYYYY *proceeds to curl up and cry*
@Lord Gaben is life, if this is about the finale, then same 😞
@Weiss, was that cinder at the end?
@Lord Gaben is life, no, actually that was a character named Salem, I think she was the narrator of Volume 1 (maybe the winter maiden idk)
@Weiss, i was going through comments and people were saying it was cinder but it didnt make sense
@Weiss, It IS.
You can't change your chromosomes
Cartoon Network cutting deep.
Its OK if I hump your leg I identify as a shin guard- triumph the insult comic dog
I sexually identify as an abyss walker.
@Sir Artorias , really? I thought I just killed you yesterday with my Drake Sword and Black Iron Great shield.
@Raki Zaki, lol, congrats on the drake sword part, that thing sucks in late game.
@Sir Artorias , yes but my Lightning winged spear +5 didn't do as much damage because of your lightning resistance. My drake sword was +5 too, and the sideways slashing is more affective on a fast moving target.
@Raki Zaki, that's okay, I'm sure I still did flips n' shjt
I find this very racist!!! I classify myself as unclassified.
@MerlinMadison, racist and promotes Mexican jobs...man this is messed up...
That was not the fvcking line YOU LYING SACK OF SHlT YOU WILL PAT FOR THIS
Someone didn't get the jontron ref it seems
Real feminists know there are 2 genders and they fight for equality. They don't want better things just for women, they want it for men too. They are not saying men and women are identical, they are just saying they should be equally respected. Don't mistake feminists with feminazis.
I sexually identify as an attack helicopter
I have no fvcking clue what to make of nonbinary.
Really? Because you look like neither.
