Great song even though they got like fvckin sued for it
Personally listening to them makes me actually wanna commit unbreath
@delsinrowedent, literally anything at all makes me want to be promoted to corpse
Actually “it’s kill yourself part 3” top 5 most emotionally charged songs of all time so yeah.
@Not A Wolf, don't forget running through the 7th with my woadies
@megamanx181x, Memphis rap-style duo that do their own production. Super dark and grimy emo rap. Lyrics range from slaughtering oneself to chemical elements and satanic sacrifices. Goes hard and goes even harder when you’re depressed as balls so obviously they’re gonna be one of my favorite musical acts.
@Tyler643, “depressed as balls” say no more Tyler
@Tyler643, I thought they were New Orleans?
@smiggles, they are but their rap style takes most influence from the Memphis rap scene (Three 6 Mafia, Tommy Wright III, Lil Ugly Mane, etc. where there are fast flows, ominous atmospheres, and commonplace usage of samples from other Memphis acts, horror movie soundclips, and the like.)
@Tyler643, ohhhh I know nothing about Memphis I guess except country music *cringe* I live among hicks
@smiggles, I’m currently obsessed with the Memphis rap scene. They pioneered shjt in the 90’s and were so far ahead of their time that a majority of the acts didn’t even blow up until this decade. A tape made by a Triple Six Mafia member in ‘94 could damn well sound like some shjt outta 2019 but very lo-fi. Fascinating to me.
@Tyler643, very cool. I'm gonna look some of that up
@smiggles, you’ll have to like raw hip hop but I got very into it very fast. $uicideboy$ were honestly my gateway because I loved the samples they were using in their songs and started cratedigging for the tracks they sample and then discovered the sampled songs are just as fvckin cool. But yeh cheers to discovering something you may like.
@Tyler643, I like very loud violent rap. X was my fave until he died but not the sappy stuff I liked Suicide Pit and Yung Bratz, stuff like that
@smiggles, oh shjt. Word. I stopped listening to X in like 2017 but he went hard as nails before that. Have you heard Ghostemane? Some of the darkest, most aggressive rap I’ve ever heard and one of my favorites right now. He’s also influenced by the Memphis scene. Interesting guy for real.
@Tyler643, I liked him for awhile but it got to the point where his voice was too annoying for me lol. I'm on ZillaKami now
@Tyler643, squeeze is still the shjt tho
@smiggles, ZillaKami is fire. Are you familiar with Lil Toenail? He’s a comedy rapper but his stuff is actually pretty funny and bangs to hell too.
@Tyler643, lol no I'll have to look that up too. I'm expecting something like lil dicky
@smiggles, I’m really not a huge fan of Lil Dicky if that says anything lol i don’t know I just could never really get into him like that.
@Tyler643, I only actually like one song so maybe I shouldn't assume. This app really needs dms lmao
@smiggles, I’ve considered proposing that idea to FP but they don’t have a shortcut on the site for user generated ideas and I’m too lazy to email them aha
