Yep. Just started playing last night. One of my starting villagers is named Reneigh. She's a horse. I laughed for like 5 minutes.
@SimonPetrikov, from what I've seen the dad jokes are unrelenting in this one.
@Captain Swordsman, So. Many. Dad jokes. I love it.
@SimonPetrikov, great, now you a double dad
@SimonPetrikov, started earlier this week, myself. I had a hamster luchador move in yesterday. These villagers are wild
@TheBronzeKneecap, buy a hamster in a cage and gift it to the hamster villager
@SimonPetrikov, I don't get how that is fun. Wouldn't you be bored?
@PacificaPelican, There's something genuinely gratifying about the immediacy of your work paying off. It's a slow burn building everything up, but it's a relaxing sort of fun. On top of that, you can get emotionally involved in some of the characters. I'm looking forward to meeting Sable again. It's definitely not for everyone, but I like it.
@SimonPetrikov, that makes sense. I never got in to farming type of games or games with a lot of grind but I do play some games for niche interests so I imagine it's a similar concept
One of my friends pretty much bullied me and another friend of ours in getting a game called "Stardew Valley". From what I've heard of animal crossing, it's pretty similar. It's actually a lot of fun too, a good way to spend quarantine so far.
@Arealchocolatechip, I’ve been trying to get into it but I just don’t get it
@Arealchocolatechip, less Animal Crossing, more Harvest Moon. Great game though.
@Arealchocolatechip, oh my brother got me to buy stardew yesterday. Almost maxed out my fishing already haha. We played for 12 hours on one map and almost cleared 2 seasons
@Arealchocolatechip, yoooo. Yo yo yo yo. I’ve been looking for an excuse to get back into the dew. Do you want to link up through discord and I can join you and your friends for an internet hangout ?
@CaptainDobie, invite goes out to you too.
@Arealchocolatechip, that shjt is addictive. Kick@ss music, good storyline, super chill, you want to farm all day? Go for it! More of an adventure? have fun in the mines! prefer the challenge of fishing? its all yours! prefer to dabble in everything or none at all? the canvas is yours my dude
@Arealchocolatechip, Stardew made my girlfriend a gamer. She literally went out and bought a switch because she remembered it was my switch she had stole as i ripped it from her claws
@Arealchocolatechip, Stardew Valley is more goal oriented. Animal crossing is literally just messing around. Non-gamers can be good at Animal Crossing, but only gamers can be great at Stardew Valley!
I made a really nice dress using the pro design (which took me a couple hours), then afterwards I just spent forty minutes running around.
It’s a good game.
My gf pretty much
@megamanx181x, I see you subtly bragging about the gf a good bit. Congrats dude
@Mantis Tobaggan, thanks but I apologize if I sound like I’m bragging, just funny how there are other people experiencing the same thing with these games
@megamanx181x, hell no man brag it up.
@Mantis Tobaggan, thanks!
What system is it available on, been seeing the memes and I'm interested
@Audiodacity, Nintendo switch
So is it Harvest Moon for Furries? Because that's the impression I got from the first one... haven't tried any of the others.
@Suicide Squad Sucks, Aside from the fact that HM and AC have fruit, no similarity. Closer to a simplified Sims with a focus on collecting and building your town. And not knocking it by calling it simplified—been playing AC since the GameCube. Always been a nice, mellow game to play between story and/or action heavy games.
